About Jambo Zanzibar
Jambo Zanzibar is an independent travel guide with one aim: helping you plan your days in Zanzibar with accurate, practical information.
What we do
We explain the island's main places and experiences, from Stone Town and the beaches to boat trips, spice farms and safaris to the mainland, and compare tours from the main booking platforms so you can choose the right one for your trip.
We are not a tour operator. Bookings are made directly with the platforms, which handle payments, cancellations and customer service.
How we check our information
Rules and prices in Zanzibar change often, from the mandatory travel insurance to park and conservation fees. We check them against official sources wherever possible (the Zanzibar Commission for Tourism, the Tanzanian government, national park authorities and operators' own websites), say so when a figure only comes from recent reports, and show the date each practical guide was last reviewed. If you spot something out of date, please tell us on our contact page.
